i went to speak to the department chair about changing my major today. got it approved, but i'm still anxious all the same.

frankly... i just want this year to be over. i don't know what it is about school that makes me so uptight and downbeat, but i wish that it would get better. even being in new york can't seem to compensate. whether i'm in high school or in college, it's still the same old crap. childish assignments that will never help you, worthless lectures that involve showing videos instead of an actual professor...

i don't know. all of this money is going into this "education," and yet all of this i could easily do on my own.

yeah, there's my typical angst.

hm. i've started reading more again. this school year for some reason i have barely read anything at all... with the exception of english assignments. i'm not sure why, but it probably has something to do with my current mood. but whatever, the point is that i'm reading again.

i got a few plays by stephen adly guirgis, and i quite enjoy what i've read by him so far. i love the vibe that young playwrights like him and adam rapp write into their plays. they truely capture the feelings and grittiness of the typical life of a new yorker... which reminds me that i've been wanting to check out some off-off broadway stuff. despite the stagehand strikes, there are still quite a few plays showing and i'm planning on catching one soon enough.

apparently the last days of judas iscariot is being preformed again next year before i leave for the summer...

besides that, i'm also reading the perks of being a wallflower.

nothing else to say, i guess.
